Welcome the WTF Marathon 'Find Tuna a Case'
To help ease the pain (or market on... I haven't decided yet) of jury duty, we're having a WTF Marathon at Unscripted Life. The mission: Find the perfect case for Tuna to rule on.
Case #2: Who Stole My Weed?
I wanted to celebrate the stupidity of some criminals. As I searched for stories on people who called police to report a crime but in the process turned themselves in for something else, I started to see a trend, especially with marijuana users.
It's no secret that drugs, both legal and illegal, can impair your judgment, but according to this story drugs can also just turn off your brain all together.
That's the only defense I could come with for a Michigan woman who called the local sheriff's department to report her stolen marijuana.
According to the Associated Press, the woman told police two men broke into her home and then fled after one of them demanded her marijuana plants.
It's not fun to have something stolen from you, but seriously who in their right mind would think reporting to police that you possess marijuana plantS wouldn't be an issue?
She was arrested and charged with manufacturing and delivering marijuana. Her defense? "Personal use." I'm sure police were not caught by surprise on this one.
