I've always wanted to be artistic. God has a way of bringing those passions out right when you need an outlet. Out of necessity, I've taken my limited knowledge in graphic design and am using it for the church. My main focus is music, more specifically leading the worship team, but now I'm designing the bulletin covers and for special events at our church.
I've started diving in head first into graphic design and have found some really great artists out there who are helping other, like me, grow their skills.
One of my favorites is Barton Damer from AlreadyBeenChewed.net.
Barton is the creative director and motion designer at RT Creative. He's very well known in the world of digital design. He's received 2009 DIGITAL ARTIST AWARD and was voted Best Faith-based Artist’s blog by readers of COLLIDE.
Computer Arts Magazine called Barton "2009’s Hottest Creative Talent”
I have to be honest, Baton's work is so impressive that I'm having a hard time not just filling my entire site with it.
But that's not what sticks out to me about this edgy designer.
Barton is using his talent to serve the Lord. And he has a special way of sharing of his faith on his site without throwing in your face.
"I am very passionate about: God and Digital Art," he writes on his site.
He really brings a lot to the table when it comes to church media design. He's a true inspiration and sets a level for me to aspire to when it comes to the kind of work I hope to produce some day.
